West Denver Veterinary believes in providing the highest quality of medicine to each pet while working with their owner to make sure both have the best experience possible.  We believe in focusing on the day to day life of each pet making sure to provide all services that help enrich day to day activities.

The Significance of Routine Preventative Medicine:
As our pets age much faster it is vital that your pet be examined at least once a year to evaluate and address their wellness. To address your pet’s preventative care needs we offer vaccines, micro-chipping, lab work, parasite control, and spaying/neutering options.

Why is Routine Lab Work Imperative?
It is important to perform routine lab profiles to screen sick or healthy pets for any abnormalities.  These tests are helpful in early disease detection and monitoring of chronic illnesses.  We have a state of the art in-house lab that can run a majority of wellness diagnostics.  This means we can evaluate your pet’s needs quickly and reliably to address your concerns effectively.  We also have the ability to send specific tests to an outside lab for a more in-depth examination.

General Anesthesia:
We provide high-quality complete anesthetic services. This includes a pre-anesthetic exam, and full lab work which allows our doctors to design specific protocols for your pet to reduce anesthetic risk or complications. Full monitoring, balanced anesthesia, and recovery care are provided to help keep your pet safe and comfortable during procedures that require general anesthesia.

Dental Care:
Your pet’s dental health can impact and lead to secondary health problems, as well as cause pain or discomfort.  It is recommended that an oral exam be done at least once a year to make an individual plan for your pet’s dental care.  We provide comprehensive dental procedures including full mouth radiographs, high-speed scaling and polishing, and extraction or repair of your pet’s teeth.  Because most dental disease occurs below the gum-line, where you can’t see it, a thorough dental cleaning and evaluation are performed under anesthesia.
